This was our first time here because we've only just moved to the area. This place is an absolute gem. I'm disabled, but there is a disabled parking space on site for customers, and because it was a quiet Thursday they were even kind enough to let me leave the car there while we went into the town centre for lunch. When we got back from lunch, a member of staff called Nick looked after us amazingly well, bringing drinks to the table in the foyer, chatting as he went about his business keeping the lobby spotless. I don't think I've ever felt so welcome in a cinema, and I include the 2016 Cinema of the Year, an independent in East London, in that. There is only one downside to this place, and that's the lack of a lift to the first floor to reach screens 1 & 2. That said, I didn't ask for one, so it may exist but not be publicly advertised. But there are several screens on the ground floor. We paid extra for premium seats, but this still made them cheaper than London prices at £7.25 per head, and I was able to watch the film comfortably, which is a rarity with my physical issues. We will absolutely be back. It's worth driving a few extra miles to support somewhere with such great service.
Only 4 out of 5 as we booked by online and quickly collected our tickets from the machine. Then had to wait in the queue to get the parking ticket that allows u to park in the car park for free after 7pm (think its 7pm BTW)

Big screen luxury. I hate to admit it, but I honestly do prefer this business class snobbery to the good old flea-pit experience. It's actually daylight robbery! £13 for a couple of beers! Best part of £30 for the seats. But you get to sit on a sofa while attractive young people attend to your every whim and you get a fabulous view from every seat. The bar is also wonderful. It's on the first floor and has big windows looking out at nice buildings, treetops and a park. It's too expensive to drink in unless you're trying to seduce somebody, but if you are trying to do that, there's a good chance it will work. It will work on me, any way.
Very cool cinema. From the retro style decor, the food to the comfy sofas on the cinema itself, makes a really great experience. And that's before you've seen the movie. Highly recommended. Allow time to find a parking space however. No dedicated parking.

Tiny little place but a good night. Went to see Count Arthur Strong, cracking act if you get the chance! The theatre is tiny and greatly helped by volunteer staff on the night. It could do with a little tidy up but that is standard for what was once a grand building. The bar was surprisingly nice; hidden away but worth a visit.
Easy to get too really. Even though it's in the middle of the shopping center, you can park bit to far away and walk. Beautiful deco inside. Went on 30/06/2018 to watch Bing. Kids loved it.

Lovely Victorian theatre with some beautiful stain glass interiors. For an old fashioned theatre there were plenty of ladies loos. No need to queue!
Good venue and we had the pleasure of seeing Gilbert and Sullivan's Patience, excellent production

A great venue for conventions with plenty of places within the center including facilities for eating food that you have taken in yourself plus lots of lavatories. Both food and toilet facilities make it possible for you to not miss out on any of the auditorium events you wish to see, as you are not stood about waiting in long queues. The seats in the auditorium are set in such a way that you get a good view of what's happening on the stage.
I've been to several of the UK's convention centres, Brighton, Bournemouth and done premier London venues. I would rate this as the best of them. It's got numerous rooms, has large mixing areas, and is decorated to a good standard throughout.
