A well established parkland golf course with lots of history. Possibly Harry Vardon had links to the courses construction as their are a number of statues and trophies dedicated to the great golfer of yesteryear. Pleasant staff in the pro shop and clubhouse. Played midday on a Sunday and the course was very quiet. A good varied test of golf. Well worth a visit.
Golf course has really tight fairways , accuracy is the key to a good round around here . Really nice hospitable staff. A enjoyable day out is guarenteed

Great course, greens superb .however club let down by proshop.we booked a fourball over the phone and also booked a golf buggy double checking the buggy booking at a later date arriving at course the guy in the pro shop had no idea about the buggy booking and they were all out on the course.needing a buggy at present this gave me a bad experience of the course. If you need to book a buggy look elsewhere due to poor service of pro shop
played as part of our visit north along with Harrogate and Rudding Park all courses good average parkland in first class condition food very limited at all 3 but by far the best beer at Oakdale

My son Andrew & I had lunch there & it was amazing the food was very tasty & fresh. That staff were attentive but not too much. Everyone was very courteous towards us & all had happy faces. It makes such a change for staff to be happy. Well done Rudding Park we will be back . Many thanks Judith McCarthy
Had a fabulous first visit to Rudding Park. Such a beautiful place with a lovely selection of spa facilities in a stunning setting, that allowed you to escape the everyday. From the moment our group stepped into the resort we were made to feel at home, receiving a first class service from every single member of staff I encountered. The professional, approachable and friendly young men and women showing us around the resort and assisting with enquiries simply couldn’t do enough for us, while in the restaurant we received an equally warm and welcoming environment and excellent food. To top my day off I was privileged enough to have Helen for my treatment, a radiance facial that left me feeling like I was floating, I was so relaxed. Thank you for such a wonderful experience can’t wait to come back soon.

My youngest daughter has been a Little Gym-nast for about a year and a half and absolutely loves it. It's a bright and fun space with an energetic and encouraging team of staff who really engage with the children and are genuinely enthusiastic and supportive of the progress the kids make. It's a non pressure environment where children can enjoy their time and learn at their own pace and thrive. My daughter has enjoyed the Little Gym camps too and mastered a no-handed aerial after just a week with the crew who gave her the confidence to go for it! Recommended,
I don’t know who loves Little Gym more - my daughter or I! I started taking her when she was only just crawling and we are still going to the after school classes 5 years later. The teachers are all fantastic and the classes are really well run and organised. I particularly like the fact the children are nurtured and encouraged to learn new skills in a non-competitive environment. We’ve also had two birthday parties at Little Gym which were both brilliant and we’ve done the holiday camps. I can highly recommend it!

Well set out, did not have to wait for a machine
I think this gym is fantastic and has everything I need. But... there are far too many children able to sign up. This makes it far busier than it needs to be.

A very friendly atmosphere. The staff are welcoming and offer knowledgeable and helpful advice when needed. Personally I love the classes they run, Spin, kettles, Pilates etc; I'm very pleased with choosing this gym. 😁
Nice basic friendly gym with good equipment

Well organised only the heating wasn’t working the day I was there but rest was really great.
My son plays football on the 3G pitch, good facilities generally. Only draw back is the dreadful vending machine! Nasty coffee!

Again fantastic staff at the gym, my gripe is with David Lloyd the company. They have spent £3m apparently improving the gym, but if you want to do a work out it’s very poor compared to what we had. There is no way of elwctronically tracking your work outs and the gym staff don’t know much about any of the new equipment so more training required. comments and emails to the gym nobody has been able to give any satisfactory answers to my queries on tracking workouts in order to improve performance.
First thing to say is that the staff are extremely friendly and helpful here and note that this review is on the weight room alone, not the rest of the centre, which seemed quite good. If it wasn't for the staff, I would have rated it two stars. The biggest problem for me was the price. There was no indication on the website as to how much the gym would cost but it ended up costing £7.80 for a day pass, which includes access to the gym and the swimming pool. Why not charge less for people who only want to use the Gym? Are you actually charging people for the pool as well as the gym, or is the pool a bonus? The cost is way too overpriced in my opinion (considering the size of the weight room, number and quality of weights and number of machines available). The dumbbells should also have been better quality than they where. I don't think they could have bought them any cheaper if they tried. The dumbbells where plastic and I think even the grips where plastic, but where made to look metallic). You can also forget having a productive workout (unless you just do cardio) when it's busy, as just four people using the weight room is way too many for the available equipment and space. On a positive note, the car park is big, there is water available and the room was air conditioned. It was clean as well and the weights where properly racked. It also seems that a window was recently installed, which was a big improvement but it's still way too small. There should be the free-weights and a couple of machines at the most in there, instead of cramming in as much equipment as possible to save space. I would value a day pass at no more that £4.50 at this gym (excluding the pool).

My new wife and I had our wedding reception here on the 28/07/2018. We found this place at the last minute and we're so happy we did. It is stunning! The area is quiet and the views are fantastic. There is a large hall where we had our day time food, then a perfect area for the disco and then the bar, The balcony is the icing on the cake. From the moment we called them to ask to look at the place they were on the ball. Angie helped us through the whole thing and nothing was too much trouble. On the day the staff were amazing and so friendly with all our guests and extremely professional. Can honestly say we couldn't have been happier anywhere else and any functions we have in the future will be held here. A huge thank you from all our family and friends for a fantastic experience.
This was originally know locally as the Squash club and within the last 18months has undergone a renovation. All sorts of physical activities, including a really good yoga class, and a decent gym (as well as squash) are held here. It has a really nice relaxing Cafe area with new balcony. Great parking facilities. Also has a podiatrist in situ. Easy to find just off the Hookstone Woods area by the main entrance to the Great Yorkshire show ground.

A really friendly and family oriented racquet sports club.
My second home - this club is truly ancient (1920s) but recently it's had some really nice renovations including new paint, a new roof, new changing rooms, new lounge area and a new car park. The standard of badminton at club night is decent and it's always open for members to use. Excellent coaching goes on here too. Definitely the badminton hub of Harrogate, unfortunately I can't speak for tennis and table tennis!

I have trained in different karate styles over the years and have subsequently settled on one of the best instructors in the UK, Matt Price Sensei. He brings together the three key elements of Kihon, Kata & Kumite embracing traditional values with a modern focus on the true martial discipline. Beware those that promote “non-contact” rubbish. I know what we are taught works and it is real karate. Add to this the fact that if you want a chance to focus on developing yourself for the 2020 Olympics as a future Olympic champion then the only way is with a club & organisation that is internationally recognised through the WKF. Matt Sensei is the National team coach for the JKS, so you are not going to get better coaching anywhere in the UK!
