Veterinary Surgeons

Shamrock Veterinary Clinic

43 Knaresborough Rd, Harrogate HG2 7SR, UK – 01423 884074

Have been my vet for 20 years and 6 cats, and have coped admirably with one blind, one deaf and at least two certifiably insane. Most friendly, professional, compassionate and competent veterinary surgery I've ever known - I struggle to imagine taking a pet of mine anywhere else.

Usually see Maurice a very caring man. Used this practice for many years

Wagtails

102 King's Rd, Harrogate HG1 5HH, UK – 01423 569524

I have used Wagtails for a while now for all my animals. Staff are very friendly and helpful the vets are amazing and helped me in many ways to do with a condition our cat has..prices are reasonably and unlike some vets they not overpriced and will not try sell you something you pet will not need and if something is cheaper online then buying it from them they tell you they do not rip u off they are care more about the animals than trying to bleed your bank dry. I would certainly recommend Wagtails to anyone who is thinking of joining with a new or existing pet.

Fine if you need basic care as they are affordable. However they told me themselves ‘we are first level care and if you need more complex care we recommend you go elsewhere’. A bit concerning, so I’m going elsewhere.

Medivet The Vets Oak Beck - VetHospital Oak Beck Veterinary Hospital

Unit 1, Oak Beck Way, Harrogate HG1 3HU, UK – 01423 561414

We are so grateful to George (Emergency Vet) and Rosie (Veterinary Nurse) for their care and kindness when looking after matilda our cat after she had been attacked on Easter Sunday by two terrier dogs. Matilda was not a registered patient and there wasn't time to phone ahead but as soon as we arrived Matilda was seen immediately and her needs taken care of. She was kept in overnight and Rosie called us throughtout the evening to give regular updates. George spent time with us explaining the possible complications and treatments. Given that Matilda's emergency treatment was over a bank holiday weekend, the cost was extremely reasonable too. Thank you again George and Rosie for being so kind to me when I was so upset.

The veterinary staff at OakBeck were phenomenal and thorough this past week during our battle with IMHA and ITP. Unfortunately, our sweet girl just couldn’t win the fight, but OakBeck loved on her, gave us prompt updates, and treated her as best they could. Whenever we get a new dog in the future, we will absolutely go back to OakBeck.
