Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Harrogate

Imperial Palace Restaurant

1 Cheltenham Cres, Harrogate HG1 1DH, UK – 01423 528711

The place was clean and nice decor inside. Service generally good. It's an 'all-you-can-eat' but based on a service system so you can keep ordering whatever you want however many times you want and the price is decent too. Something like 13.95 Mon-Thu and 16.95 Fri-Sun (as at the date of this review) Decent choice of standard Chinese food that you can order. Pretty quick turnaround and service was sharp. Portions are quite small but that's quite good because you don't waste food, you can order more if you like it and means you can try different things. Food generally tasted OK but the biggest problem was everything was far too salty! It's a shame because it has lots of potential...

Amazing service and value for money, all you can eat off the menu. Delicious food

Cheung Won Restaurant

7 Cheltenham Parade, Harrogate HG1 1DD, UK – 01423 538538

Lovely food, we arrived early evening midweek when it was very quiet. Small buffet area but lots of choice, only problem was at times some items ran out but they were mostly refilled quickly. Failed to tell us you could order hot deserts

Great food great price, strange choice of music for a Chinese restaurant though

Restaurant 92

92-, 94 Station Parade, Harrogate HG1 1HQ, UK – 01423 503027

Trying to be an upmarket restaurant. The tasting menu didn’t “wow” and the explanations of each course were minimal or absent, so the chef’s intentions weren’t conveyed to the diner. The wine flight was well-paired to the courses but the “sommelier’s” knowledge was laughably lacking, failing to identify the country of origin of one of the wines and describing the port as “well, it’s a port”. That said, the food and wines were good, the duck was utterly divine and the red wine paired with it was scrumptious. Probably won’t rush back.

Outstanding food, impeccable presentation and one of the best fine dining taster experiences I've had that in a restaurant that hasn't YET got its star! The ambience is just right, for couples and small groups alike and the staff are wonderfully attentive and accommodating and generally just bloody good at their jobs. Highly recommend this restaurant!
